The AYI Youth Board would like to thank Bro. & Sis. Marvin Walker for joining us and teaching at the Iowa Family Encounter for Couples last weekend. Held in Des Moines, IA at the Embassy Suites on February 2nd & 3rd, Bro. & Sis. Walker taught superb Bible-based principles on creating and maintaining a strong marriage and family.

Bro. & Sis. Walker live and Pastor in Troy, MI. They travel the country regularly teaching marriage seminars and how to live the Bible Way in your relationship.

Saturday morning Feb. 3, 2007, we were also honored to have one of our elected officials of national government, Iowa Senator Charles Grassley, join us and speak. He spoke regarding the importance of the family and keeping it strong by incorporating a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Senator Grassley quoted a lot of scripture and it was encouraging to hear an elected official recognize the importance of the family unit and how it is the core of our society.
